The Island Jubilee Season Premiere is December 1, 2024

The Island Jubilee Old Time Radio Music Show will be celebrating its season premiere on Sunday December 1, 2024, 2PM at the Florence Simmons Performance Hall in Charlottetown PEI with special guests Nudie, Keira Loane and Grace Sulis-Chaisson

Nudie was our Jubilee All-Stars’ bassist and lead singer since the beginning and is moving on. He will be dearly missed by his fellow musicians but agreed to grace us with his visit, wit, and style from time to time. An Island sensation for years, Nudie has toured long and far and played in venues of all sizes across North America. Along with club & festival shows in Canada & the United States, Nudie has showcased at the North by Northeast Festival, the Ontario Council of Folk Festivals, the Americana Music Festival in Nashville and the North American folk Alliance in Memphis, Tennessee. His songs have been featured in CTV television’s Saving Hope as well as the 2021 crime/thriller, A Small Fortune.

Keira Loane is a country music singer/songwriter living in Kilmuir, PEI, originally from Cape Breton, NS. Keira’s powerhouse voice and heartfelt songwriting has made an impact across the Island solo, as well as with her band Keira Loane & the Commons. You may have seen her fronting Southbound – a tribute to Carrie Underwood and Quittin’ Time – a tribute to Zach Bryan. She also has a new project, Whirlwind – a Lainey Wilson tribute coming in January 2025. You can listen to her 2 singles, Mac’s Song and High Horse out everywhere, and she is currently working on her debut album, which is set to be released in Spring 2025.

Ms. Grace Sulis-Chaisson is a young passionate and skilled step dancer, a Samantha Hughes protégé who currently teaches beginner step dancing to students ages 3-12 at Sam’s School of Dance. Currently fifteen, she has already amassed 13 years of dance experience. This summer, Grace could be found performing at Port Charlottetown, Founders Food Hall, Holman’s Ice Cream Parlor, and at various ceilidhs across the Island. Grace has taken part in numerous dance competitions across the Maritimes and has won many awards for her performances. She volunteered her talent for the 2023 Christmas Daddies Telethon and hopes to return again this year. She recently participated in the PEI Youth Talent Competition, where she placed 1st at the Summerside Lobster Carnival and went on to become the 2024 Grand Champion, placing 1st at the provincial finals held in Abrams-Village the end of August.
